INTRODUCTION

Hello, and welcome!

Firstly - I'm so happy you've stumbled across my blog.

My name is Anna, I am a Finn living in Birmingham (UK) and I want to make sustainability my mission.

I wanted to create a little hub to focus on 3 things close to my heart - sustainability, visual communication and writing. I will be sharing my thoughts on interesting articles, research, ideas, innovations and products that I come across regarding sustainability & circular economy.

My next post will focus on the question you might be thinking right now: what the heck even is circular economy? Worry not, my friends. I will walk you through it as simply as possible. 

Just to cover the very basics:

♽ It's a broad phenomenon that isn't just about individuals, or companies, or even countries

♽ It's an economic system developed as an alternative to our current preferred system - linear economy - that is, quite frankly, outdated and horrifyingly unsustainable

♽ It's crucial for our planet - sustainable operations & shared knowledge around the globe will ensure a healthy Mother Earth for us and future generations

I am so excited that so much is already happening and circular approaches are being adopted on commercial, societal and even governmental level. However, a lot of improvement needs to take place. This is where I hope to make a change in my own little bubble with my choices as a consumer and an employee.
